Chicken and Cheese Jalousie

This chicken and cheese jalousie, made with puff pastry, is a comforting meal that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh vegetables, chopped and sautéed
  • 1/2 cup high-quality cheese, shredded and mixed with herbs
  • 1 pound tender chicken or beef, cooked and seasoned
  • 1 sheet flaky puff pastry, thawed and rolled out
  • 1 cup cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sautéed onions
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Layer the chicken and cheese filling on one half of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Brush the edges with a little water to help the pastry stick together.
  4. Place the other half of the pastry on top and press the edges to seal the jalousie.
  5. Cut a few slits in the top to let steam out and decorate the edges with a knife.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden and flaky.

Notes

Serve with a green salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
