Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh vegetables, chopped and sautéed
- 1/2 cup high-quality cheese, shredded and mixed with herbs
- 1 pound tender chicken or beef, cooked and seasoned
- 1 sheet flaky puff pastry, thawed and rolled out
- 1 cup cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup sautéed onions
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Layer the chicken and cheese filling on one half of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Brush the edges with a little water to help the pastry stick together.
- Place the other half of the pastry on top and press the edges to seal the jalousie.
- Cut a few slits in the top to let steam out and decorate the edges with a knife.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden and flaky.
Notes
Serve with a green salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
